Overview

Freak Off is a play-to-earn web-based racing and breeding game that offers players unparalleled ownership and control over their collection of exotic and cool creatures that we call the Freaks. Through cutting-edge game development technology and blockchain integration, each Freak in Freak Off is represented as a unique non-fungible token (NFT), ensuring true ownership and authenticity. With a focus on high-quality content and robust gameplay systems, players can enjoy thrilling races, captivating beauty contests, breed and fuse Freaks to achieve superior combinations and participate in engaging events and tournaments. The game also features a vibrant in-game economy supported by its own native cryptocurrency, providing exciting opportunities for rewards and progression. Freak Off delivers a top-tier gaming experience, where players can immerse themselves in the excitement of racing, breeding, and collecting the most exotic creatures in the universe.

The game was founded by a team of experienced game developers who were frustrated with the lack of quality and sustainability in the web3 game industry. We recognized the prevalence of pump-and-dump models prioritizing short-term gains over long-term value and engagement for players. Determined to offer a different experience, our team is dedicated to creating a truly live-service game that maintains its value and engagement over time. By focusing on quality, continuous updates, and fostering a thriving community, we have also made the decision to move away from the common dual-token model and adopt a streamlined single-token economy that aligns with our game's essence. This economy model ensures the long-term value of the game and enhances the player experience. With our innovative approach and commitment to player-driven interactions, we aim to redefine the standards of the crypto game industry.

Game Play

In Freak Off, players will participate in thrilling races, and engage in breeding and fusion mechanics to enhance their Freaks and expand their collections. Additionally, players can showcase their Freaks' beauty in captivating beauty contests, where they can compete for recognition and rewards. With a combination of racing, breeding, fusing, and beauty contests, Freak Off provides a dynamic and rewarding gameplay experience that aims to provide the maximum value to its collection of NFT Freaks.

Race

Players are required to sign their Freaks for participation in races. Each race consists of 9 contestants who will start the match from 9 gates. The gates operate on a first-come, first-served basis, allowing players to secure their position in the race by signing in early. Selecting the best race to sign in is a crucial task on the path to success. Players must carefully evaluate various factors such as the measurement, The race track type, the size of the podium, and other pertinent considerations. By strategically choosing races that align with their Freak's strengths and racing style, players can maximize Their chances of reaching the podium and winning great prizes.

In Freak Off, races are divided into two general types:

- Paid Races: players are required to pay an entry fee in FOT to sign their Freaks into the race. The entry fees collected from participants are then distributed among the winners on the podium.

- Paid races: players are required to pay an entry fee in FOT to sign their Freaks into the race. The entry fees collected from participants are then distributed among the winners on the podium.
- Free races: do not have an entry fee. Instead, the prize pool for these races is provided directly from the Freak Off’s FOT treasury. This allows all players to participate and have a chance at winning valuable rewards. Participating in free races will also help players evaluate their Freaks and gather strategic data at the minimum cost.

Beauty Contests

In addition to the exhilarating races, Freak Off also offers a unique and captivating game mode called the Beauty Contest. We believe that our Freaks should be engaging and hold value in various ways. In the Beauty Contest, players have the opportunity to showcase the unique aesthetics of their NFT Freaks by sharing captivating pictures on their social media platforms.

The winners of the Beauty Contest will be determined through our voting system, creating an inclusive and interactive experience for the community. The prize for the contest will be provided from the event prize pool, ensuring that participants have the chance to earn rewards for their creativity and community engagement. By breeding and fusing Freaks, players can create unique and eye-catching NFTs that are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts.

Events

In Freak Off, players can look forward to a variety of events, both seasonal and occasional. These events offer unique opportunities for players to engage in thrilling competitions and earn crypto rewards (BTC, ETH, and…). Some events may require entry tickets for participation, while others are open for all players to join.

Each event features its own prize pool, which gives players an additional chance to earn crypto using their Freaks. The prizes for these events are provided from the game's treasury, ensuring valuable rewards for the winners. Whether it's a high-stakes race or a special challenge, participating in events is a great way for players to test their strategies, earn rewards, and enhance their gaming experience in Freak Off.

Breeding

Breeding is a vital aspect of Freak Off, allowing players to unleash their creativity and expand their collection of NFT Freaks. During the breeding seasons, players have the opportunity to mate their Freaks and produce offspring with distinct DNA containing stats and appearance data. These offspring are the result of combining the genetic information of the parents through our genetic system. This allows players to mate Freaks with desirable traits and aesthetics strategically to generate offspring with improved stats and visually appealing appearances.

There are two primary methods of breeding: in-house breeding and utilizing the Stud Farm. Barn owners can choose to breed their Freaks within their own barn or explore the various contract options available at the Stud Farm.

In terms of creature aesthetics: there's a pool of designed pieces for every variable body part. Each piece in a pool has a weighted chance of drawing.
when two creatures (male/female) breed:

• there's a 15 % chance for the offspring to Inherit a body part from the father.
• there's a 15 % chance for the offspring to inherit a body part from the mother.
• there's a 70 % chance for the offspring to choose a body part from the proper pool.
Note: Creatures' body parts are not related to their traits and racing abilities.

Fuse

The Fusion System in Freak Off introduces a way for players to level up their Freaks and personalize their aesthetics. By sacrificing (burning) specific Freaks, players can boost the levels and appearance of their chosen ones. This mechanic not only offers customization and enhancement options but also serves as a mechanism to control the circulation of surplus NFTs and prevent inflation within the game.
The fusion process involves two steps:

• In the first step, players select two Freaks: one to be enhanced and one to be sacrificed (burned). The sacrificed Freak will be permanently removed from the network, adding a massive amount of XP to the enhancing Freak.
• In the second step, players have the opportunity to choose three body parts from the sacrificed Freak and transfer them to the enhancing one. This unique feature allows players to customize the appearance of their favorite Freaks by utilizing the parts of other NFTs.

Rent

Barn owners can rent out their Freaks to each other under different types of smart contracts. This feature allows players to generate additional income by leasing their Freaks to other players for racing, breeding, or other activities.

AI-Generated Commentary System

Our AI-generated commentary system is a unique feature in Freak Off that adds a freaky and funny tone to the races. Using our commentary AI, the system generates live and unique commentary for each run, providing players with an immersive and entertaining racing experience. Whether you're racing for the first time or a seasoned player, the commentary system adds a new level of excitement and humor to the game.
This feature also grants a great opportunity for collaboration with celebrities and sponsors.

Barn Activities

Players have the opportunity to keep their Freaks in top shape by engaging in barn activities.
there are two types of barn activities that players can take part in: Caring: This involves feeding, cleaning, and grooming your Freaks. By attending to their basic needs, players can give their Freaks a temporary boost to their racing abilities. Proper care and attention can greatly enhance their performance on the tracks.
Training: Engaging in training exercises is essential for the development of your Freaks. Through training sessions, Freaks will gain experience points and level up.
Additionally, a photo mode is available, enabling players to capture innovative and stunning photos of their Freaks in their barns' beautiful environments.

Class System

The class system in Freak Off ensures balanced and fair competition by categorizing Freaks based on their rank points. It provides a clear progression path, allowing Freaks to race against competitors with similar performance levels. When a Freak's rank drops under the minimum rank point of its current class it will class down, and when it breaks the maximum, the Freak will class up. There are 6 racing classes in the game that Freaks can race in, based on their current rank point. Each Freak will gain or lose rank points based on its finishing position in races.

-The Griffin-Class, an evaluation racing class exclusively for unraced Freaks. Raced Freaks cannot participate in Griffin races, making it the ideal starting point for newcomers. These races are free and offer an opportunity for Freaks to showcase their potential.

Classes 5 to 1 are the main race classes of the game.

• Each of these 5 classes is associated with a specific range of rank points.
○ Class 5: rank 100 to 150
○ Class 4: 151 to 200
○ Class 3: 201 to 250
○ Class 2: #TBD
○ Class 1: #TBD

note: Freaks can only race in their current class and above. A Freak will gain rank points winning the races in classes higher than its current class, but losing in higher ranks will be counted as handicapped-lose and the Freak doesn't lose any rank points for them.

Leaderboard

Leaderboards are an exciting part of the Freak Off experience, providing players with a competitive platform to showcase their Freaks' racing prowess. The leaderboards display the rankings of the top-performing Freaks in various categories, such as overall racing performance, fastest running times, and highest win rates. By competing in races and achieving impressive results, players can climb the ranks and aim for the top positions on the leaderboards. This not only brings recognition and prestige but also opens up opportunities for exclusive rewards and incentives.

Freaks

In Freak Off, each Freak is a unique Freak, boasting a distinct appearance and set of attributes. Every player should have at least one Freak to fully participate in the game. If players do not own a Freak, they have the option to rent Freaks from other players to join in the action. These NFT Freaks are divided into three different species: Asco, Kneti, and Bapumba. Each species showcases its own creative design and appearance, giving players a visually diverse experience. Additionally, each species has differences in minor attributes and race preferences that players can discover and leverage in their gameplay strategies.
To kickstart our ecosystem, we will be minting a total of 9,000 NFT Freaks, with 3,000 Freaks in each species, known as the Genesis Generation. The Genesis Generation stands as the only NFT set directly created by our team, separate from the breeding system. We will launch these sets for sale in 3 phases over time. In each phase 3000 of launched Genesis Freaks will be available for purchase.

Our goal is to offer an engaging and visually captivating experience for players through the vast and unique world of Freaks. With an array of species, attributes, and breeding possibilities, Freak Off sets the stage for players to unleash their creativity and strategic prowess.

DNA

In Freak Off, every Freak possesses a unique DNA that encompasses their genetic makeup. This DNA serves as a digital blueprint that defines the individual characteristics and attributes of each Freak, including:

  • appearance data
  • secret stats
  • name
  • gender
  • generation
  • tier
  • parentage (excluding the Genesis Generation)

This provides players with a deeper understanding of their Freaks' lineage and heritage, enabling them to make strategic decisions in breeding, racing, and trading.

Appearance Data

Each Freak in Freak Off possesses a unique DNA that defines its appearance. The DNA includes information about the Freak's body parts, and colors, which can be modified through fusing and some cosmetic options.

Secret Stats

In Freak Off, every Freak possesses a set of 25 secret stats that determine its racing abilities and capabilities. These stats are intentionally hidden from players, creating an element of mystery and discovery. As players engage in races, analyze their Freak's performance, and track their records, they will gradually unveil these secret stats, gaining insights into their Freak's true potential.

Upon birth, every Freak starts at level 1, each with a distinct allocation of stats across the 25 categories. As Freaks level up, these stats receive improvements based on their initial allocation.

Name

In Freak Off, Freaks are born nameless, allowing each player to unleash their creativity and give their Freaks a unique and memorable name. Once a name is chosen, it becomes an integral part of the Freak's identity and cannot be altered.

Even without a name, these unnamed Freaks retain their full capabilities and can participate in races, engage in breeding, and be traded.

Gender

In Freak Off, Freaks are categorized as male or female. However, their gender has no impact on their racing abilities or appearance. It is only relevant when it comes to breeding, as both male and female Freaks are required for the breeding process.

Generation

In Freak Off, each Freak's generation indicates the breeding layer it belongs to and represents its genetic distance from the Genesis ancestors. The generation of a Freak provides insight into its lineage and the evolutionary progress it has undergone through breeding. There are six generations in total: Genesis, Cyclone, Hurricane, Typhoon, Gale, and Gust.

The generation system works as mentioned in the chart below:

Geno Tier

In Freak Off, the tier of a Freak defines its genetic distance from the source DNA. The Genesis generation of 3,000 Freaks per species is generated in five tiers, ranging from Tier 1 to Tier 5. Tier 1 Freaks are the rarest, with the lowest number of created NFTs, while Tier 5 Freaks are the most common in the Genesis generation. Although the qualities of any individual Freak in race are not directly related to its tier. This segmentation is one of the most important factors in determining the valuation of Freaks.
User-bred Freaks' tier will be defined based on the summation of the parents' tier.
Example: Female Tier-3 + Male Tier-9 => Offspring Tier-12

Level

The Level System is a crucial aspect of Freak Off, ensuring that players have the means to continually enhance their Freaks' abilities and get them close to their full potential. With every level gained, Freaks become more formidable competitors on the racetrack, enabling players to achieve greater success and reach new heights in the thrilling world of Freak Off.

In our Level System, we introduce a progressive mechanism that allows players to continuously and permanently improve their Freaks. Each Freak is born at level 1, and they have the potential to reach a maximum level of 100. The level-up process is driven by experience points (XP), which can be obtained through various activities.

The primary method of gaining experience points is through racing. Competing in races provides an opportunity for Freaks to earn valuable XP. Additionally, training and exercising your Freaks will contribute to their XP growth, ensuring that they become stronger and more skilled over time.

In addition to racing and training, the fusing system offers another significant way to gain experience points. By sacrificing (burning) Freaks in the fusion process, players can grant a substantial amount of XP to their chosen Freaks. The amount of XP obtained through fusing is directly influenced by the tier and the current level of the burned Freaks, with higher tier and level of Freaks providing a greater boost to XP.

Tokenomics

Freak Off uses a single-token model. Our native token is named Freak Off Token (FOT) with a fixed supply of 10,000,000,000 pre-minted tokens. FOT will be used as our Game’s main currency with lots of utilities and use cases.

FOT

• Winning paid races: Players that take place on the podium will win FOT. (the amount is based on each race entry fee)

• Free-race reward: Players will get FOT by participating in free races. ( based on their finishing position)

• Tournaments and paid events: Players can enter events and tournaments by buying entry tickets. A portion of FOTs gathered from selling tickets will be transferred to the event's prize pool. (reward distribution based on leader board)

• Tasks and events: Players can earn a limited amount of FOT by doing daily weekly and seasonal tasks and participating in occasional events.

• Beauty contests: There will be FOT prize pools provided by entry tickets and our treasury.

• Putting out Freaks for rent: Freak owners can earn FOT by lending their NFTs to other players (through different rent contracts)

Use cases

• Paid race entry fee: Players should pay FOT to enter each paid race.

• Barn activities: Players can use FOT to buy feeding, grooming, and training consumables to maintain and boost their Freaks.

• Event tickets: FOT can be used to buy entry tickets for different tournaments and events.

• Beauty contest entry fee: Each beauty contest has a specific fee that contesters should pay for each Freak they want to enter the event.

• Breed and fuse fee: Players should pay FOT as the breed and fusion fee.

• Renting Freaks: Players can pay FOT to rent Freaks.

The prize pool for paid races is collected from the entry fees paid by the players themselves. This means that the value of the prize pool is fixed, which helps the game maintain its value against market fluctuations.

As a result, the game will remain a valuable and exciting platform for players to compete, even if the market experiences fluctuations or changes.

Project Values

Unlike other racing games where characters' aesthetics are similar or limited in variation, we have focused on creating millions of possible unique appearances for each of our randomly generated 3D Freaks. We believe our collection of freaky and humorous Freaks offers more value as an independent NFT collection. Players will have the opportunity to collect and showcase their own distinct and one-of-a-kind Freaks.

AAA Game Dev Team

In the crowded space of NFT games, many development teams lack the necessary expertise to create high-quality products. Most of their games suffer from technical issues and lack polish. Our team, on the other hand, has over 15 years of experience in game development and a wealth of knowledge in creating games with AAA quality.
